Blue Hostel

For a Full Moon Party stay, the location is fantastic. The woman in charge even shared some of her body paints while we were getting ready to go out. She was an absolute delight, and the whole place felt relaxed and welcoming. We could sit on the floor, drink beer, and hang out, and she didn't mind at all. This is by far my favorite place I've stayed in Thailand. It's simple, more like a camp room with bunks, but that's what I think a true hostel is. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower, and a little fridge with plenty of bottled water, a lovely touch. The outside door doesn't lock, so people come and go, but there are lockers in the room. It's a good fit if you don't mind something basic and shared, without much privacy. It was really hard to find, so use basbousa restaurant as a nearby reference. I didn't get a confirmation when I first booked, but after I followed up, she replied that she'd seen our booking. I'd absolutely stay again and recommend it.

They arranged a taxi for me at 3am for 200baht, and breakfast and drinking water were free, which was really nice since you usually have to buy water in Thailand. The room was an ordinary dorm with a couple of beds, and the staff were very nice. It isn't luxurious, but it's the best of the cheap hostels, honestly.

The location is very good, especially if you're going to the Full Moon Party. The room opens onto the street, but staff kept an eye on the door and we felt safe. The conditions might not look like much at first, but for the price, clean mattresses, towels, and a toilet were perfectly adequate. I'd recommend it for a short visit or as a base.
