Blue Lotus Resort

The hosts are German Thai, and there's a real taste of Thai hospitality here. The cheerful crew takes loving care of the grounds, the food, and the guests. It's a simple two-star place by the sea, but my room was always clean and everything worked as it should. I keep coming back when I'm between monthly bungalow stays.

I only had ten days at Blue Lotus resort this time and hated leaving. Last year I stayed for three weeks and ended up extending my visit. I’ll definitely come back, hopefully next year. It's such a peaceful, beautiful place, the food is really good, and everyone is kind, helpful, and always smiling. The dogs and cat even come sit with you to watch the sunset. We only booked four nights and I wish we'd stayed longer. The resort is right on the beach, and the restaurant food tastes great. Kai, the owner, was the nicest person we met on our trip. He sorted out taxis and motorbike rentals, and kept checking that we were enjoying ourselves. I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat.

A quiet, tucked-away beach spot, just right for recovering from Koh Phangan's party scene. There are hammocks everywhere and plenty of dogs and cats to cuddle. The staff are so lovely and really try to meet your needs. My only gripe was the shower water. It wasn't freezing, but it never got comfortable or properly hot. Still, I had a great trip.
