Cocohut Beach Resort

We arrived a day early because my partner had booked the wrong date, but the staff were amazing and found us a Villa Suite, the only room available that day. It was fabulous and worth every penny. Everyone was welcoming, seemed so happy, and was always ready to help. The service really impressed us. After 28 years, I’m so grateful to have had such a great experience back on this magical island. If we come back, this will be our first choice. Thank you, everyone.

You can walk to everything from this beautiful hotel, and getting to the beach is easy. The design is stunning, the pool is perfect, and the service was great. I tried both room types. The Hillside room was compact and modern, just right for two. The Cliff room had more space but felt a little dated, and you have to climb stairs to get there. Both had very comfortable beds and amazing pillows.

Cocohut is a stunning, beautifully maintained resort, and our Villa with Seaview (Skymoon) was fantastic. It had an incredible view and a private pool. The beach was a dream, and we loved the tasty food and excellent cocktails. It rained for the first two days, but the service and organization made that easy to manage. They handled everything quickly and efficiently on WhatsApp, and the shuttle was outstanding, always available and there within minutes for trips to reception or down to the center. The main downside was how strongly the resort seemed oriented toward Israeli guests. Separate Israeli menus at a restaurant in Thailand felt out of place, especially when you travel here for Thai culture and cuisine. That focus changed the atmosphere, and some of those guests behaved disrespectfully toward the surroundings and other guests, which took away from the peaceful, relaxing stay we’d hoped for. Apart from that, the resort was beautiful and everything else was excellent. With more focus on local culture, Cocohut would be nearly perfect.

We were very happy with our stay and will definitely return. The beach is lovely, the beach café is great, and the villa was comfortable and well maintained. We’re based in Japan, and the attentive, respectful, detail-oriented service reminded us of Japanese standards. I’ve read reviews calling the hotel’s rules strict, but I see the structure as a real advantage. Everything felt calm and well organized, making for a comfortable atmosphere. The hotel was spotless, with thorough cleaning happening constantly. The staff were friendly and professional, worked as a team, and gave thoughtful service that often felt like they anticipated what we needed. Thanks to the whole team for a great experience.
