Haad Rin Hill Bungalow

The room was cleaner and newer looking than I expected. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but it was acceptable for the price. The walls are really thin, and our safe didn’t work until we called someone to fix it.

The service was very good, especially at the tours office. chutikan(mai) helped us track down our lost bag and sent it on to Phuket after we had to leave early the next morning. So kind and helpful. I’d definitely recommend them!

All night, you can hear heavy bass through the walls, even when there’s no party. The water from the tap was yellow and smelled of chlorine, and the curtains kept getting stuck at the top so we couldn’t close them properly. The worst part was checkout. The man inspecting our room accused us of putting a hole in a towel that was already damaged, then pointed out marks on the bedsheets. It felt like he was inventing things to get money from us. Take photos of everything when you arrive or you might get blamed when you leave.

The place is a joke. They take a 1000baht deposit for the room key, then at checkout an employee goes to the room and comes back with a used towel that has a bit of dirt or sand on it, and keeps the deposit. They did this to us, and we saw it happen to three other guests too.
