Phangan Mantra Resort

A very affordable place except for the three days before and after the full moon party, when prices are like everywhere else in Haad Rin. It's right in the center, one block from the beach, with restaurants and bars next door. The room was extremely clean, with strong air-conditioning and a nice hot shower. There's a shared refrigerator on the second floor, and rooms are cleaned at least every two to three days. They provide a sign to hang on the wall to say whether you want cleaning. This would be my first choice anywhere on the island!

Tam, the owner, was amazing and so helpful. She showed us around and pointed out the best parties and beaches. The room was tidy and very clean, and everything we needed was close by, between the central area and the beachfront. The hotel is right in the party area, but the music didn't bother us; earplugs are available if you need them. I'd definitely recommend this place, 10/10. Thanks again, Tam, for being so welcoming!

The beachside location and friendly service made this a good choice for one night, and the bar has a lovely view over the water. Guests also get a discount on drinks. The room was the weak point: all the tile gave it an odd feel, and the windows looked straight at a wall. Prices shoot up for Full Moon, as they do everywhere, but the usual rate is reasonable. I’d recommend it for the setting and service.

I stayed for nearly two weeks and had a very good time. The staff were nice, the room was good, and the price felt fair. :)
