Rin Beach Resort

The pool was great, the restaurant food was really good, and the staff were all very nice and accommodating. My water-facing room was very clean, with a shower that opens out to the ocean. The view was amazing. For the Full Moon Party, this location is hard to beat: right by the ferry terminal, but far enough from the party that I couldn't hear the noise. I booked four months ahead. I suspect most of the negative reviews are from guests charged at checkout for things like broken glasses, misusing towels or food stains on sheets, the kind of thing that can happen after a night out. Highly recommend. I stayed Jan 31 - Feb 3, 2026.

I stayed nearly three weeks, booking a room for two people from 29.12.25 to 19.01.26. A day before checkout, I needed to return to Bangkok sooner than planned. I asked if I could leave the key at reception for my friend, the second guest on the booking, to pick up when he arrived. Staff said that was fine. About half an hour later, while I was waiting for food at the hotel's restaurant, a staff member brought me a phone call. The caller said he was “the agency.” Nobody had explained this to me before. He said I couldn't leave the property because the booking was in my name. I explained several times that the room was for two, that only my details had been given at first, and that my friend could provide his information on arrival. They offered no alternative or solution. I had paid through 19.01.26, but was effectively forced to check out on 18.01.26. My friend was then asked to pay another 1,000 THB for the final night, even though it was already covered by the booking. I stayed calm and polite throughout, and only asked for help or a reasonable solution. They weren't willing to listen or be flexible. It's very disappointing that poor communication and handling of a simple situation spoiled the end of such a long stay. They also kept my 500 baht deposit. Not recommended.

I had a nice stay. Just know it'll be really busy when there's a Full Moon Party. The office staff weren't the friendliest, and they ask for a large key deposit. Maybe they're worn out from dealing with younger guests during the party.

Our room wasn't cleaned once during the three days we stayed. There was never anyone at reception, so even making a basic request was difficult. They'd left one roll of toilet paper for three people, and we had to buy more ourselves. At checkout, we had accidentally left a small blood stain on a sheet. Staff yelled at us and demanded 1,000 baht to replace it. When we refused because that seemed absurd, they threatened to call the police and report us to immigration using photos of our passports. They were extremely rude from the moment we arrived, and the service only got worse. This was one of my worst travel experiences. Unprofessional, unsafe and completely disrespectful. Avoid this hotel.
