Sea Breeze Backpacker Hostel - Adults Only

We had no problems during our stay at Sea Breeze, which is no small thing when you've traveled around the Thai islands and know how hard it can be to find a good place. The staff, from reception and the restaurant to housekeeping, were kind and attentive. Our room was wonderful and was spotless and neatly arranged every time we returned from the beach. Hot water worked perfectly, too, unlike at some island stays. The rooftop was a highlight for sunset, and the pool and breakfast area were great as well. Food was tasty and fairly priced. We rented a motorbike there, in perfect condition, and arranged a transfer to the port with them when we left. The location is convenient, with a 7/11 nearby and plenty to do. This place deserves its five stars, absolutely recommended.

The ocean view from our balcony was gorgeous, and both the upstairs and downstairs restaurants served delicious food. We stayed ten nights and had such a good time. The staff were some of the kindest people we've met, and our room was cleaned every day and always left spotless. Laundry was available at an affordable price, too. The pools were so nice, and the place was close to everything while still being quiet at night. It was a seven-minute walk to the beach and five minutes to the 711. We were sad to go and hope we can come back soon. 100/10.

The view and location were hard to beat. The staff were incredibly sweet and helpful, and made the three nights I spent here feel really memorable. One of my best hotel stays.

The hilltop setting gives this resort a great sea view, with lush surroundings and plenty of wildlife making interesting sounds at night. It has an antique style in places. My room was large and comfortable, with unusual artwork and a lovely view down to the sea. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped, with strong water pressure and a warm shower that stayed hot. I was there for four nights, and the staff were pleasant and welcoming. I had thought about renting a scooter, but the weather was poor and I'd already spent two and a half weeks exploring the island on wheels. I wanted to stay in and watch films instead, but the internet in room 6 was a real problem. The connection in the lobby restaurant was fast and reliable, while in the room it wasn't. I often had to use my phone as a hotspot, which I try to avoid because my data plan is limited. I raised it several times with the friendly man at reception, but no one seemed able to fix it. There are so many different WiFi addresses showing up that the whole system probably needs an IT expert to look at it. If a good connection matters to you, ask for a room close to the lobby. The lock-box stopped working twice, and a staff member had to open it with a special key. It may just be old and prone to failing. Also, small motorboat taxis ferry people from the local pier to the Eastside beaches for parties and back. On two of my four nights they ran all night, and their loud engines could be heard even with the windows and balcony door shut. I couldn't enjoy the sound of the sea those nights. The hotel can't control that, but it's useful to know.
