The sunrise views from the villa are beautiful, but the place feels old and worn. Some door handles are rusty, a few doors don't shut properly, and the amenities feel below average. I wouldn't call it a luxury villa without serious renovation. Getting around was the bigger problem. There's little nearby, the road is poor, and we felt dependent on Dominic, the villa manager, to leave. Each trip for groceries, town, or cafes cost 1000 baht. We couldn't go scuba diving at 6:30 because it was too early for him. I understand he has his own life, but future guests should know what to expect. After a long journey, we had to walk from the pier to a bar where Dominic was, then from the car to the villa, including a flight of stairs, with our luggage. There were three men and four women in our group, carrying suitcases in the dark. Since we were paying for the transfer, picking us up at the pier would have made sense. Dominic also declined when we asked for help with the bags and watched us make several trips upstairs. I know carrying luggage isn't his job, but offering to help would have felt more hospitable. The listing should explain when rides are available and that there are no taxis because of the road. If you don't want to be isolated, look for somewhere more accessible and welcoming on Koh Phangan. EDIT: Thanks for the unsolicited passive-aggressive reply. I'm sorry I booked the villa and dared to share feedback. Apparently I'm the problem here. You and the villa are the best, and should win an award for hospitality.

We were seven adults of different ages celebrating a special birthday, and White Azure was a lovely place to spend three nights. The bedrooms are roomy and private, while the house has simple, stylish decor, generous shared spaces, and a kitchen that works well. The views are incredible, especially at sunrise over the sea. Eye, the house manager, was so helpful, and the cook made delicious Thai dinners. Breakfast was available too, though we made our own. It's a beautiful little hideaway off the beaten track, and we hope to come back for longer. After reading the previous review, I can hardly believe we stayed in the same place.

The beach isn't walkable from here, and the property is far from everything. The roads are rough, so getting anywhere means having a 4x4. The open kitchen and living area may look appealing, but mosquitoes get in and there isn't a way to close the space. In the bathroom, there's no shower curtain, so water splashes all over the toilet. I replied to the owner, who called me a scammer. They should be ashamed. The photos don't lie, or is this not the property? It's easy to talk trash online, but the truth matters to us as travelers. I don't want a free vacation. I just want my money back because the Booking listing didn't explain the property properly. So who's the scammer now?

The only drawback is that life is too short to stay longer. A magnificent spot, lovely setting, great food, attentive staff, and plenty to do nearby.
