Hotel Ban Rak Samed

The bathroom is the part that lets this place down. It’s small and dated, with dark colors, a loose toilet and faucet, and an old shower head that sprays in odd directions because some holes are blocked. The water temperature was fine, though the thin stream didn’t feel great on my skin. Everything still worked. The room itself feels recently renovated and is spacious, bright, and in good shape. There’s a big double bed, TV with Thai channels only, fridge, little balcony, air conditioning, and dressing table. Instead of a regular door, there’s a large window that opens outside, with a curtain for privacy. It helps the room feel airy, but the curtain doesn’t block the morning light. There’s no wardrobe or dresser, and the freezer compartment has no door, so the fridge gets too cold. They also don’t clean the room. Even with those drawbacks, I enjoyed staying here because the room feels so nice. I paid 3,000 baht for five nights in September, which seemed like a good deal, so I’d recommend it.

It was expensive, and the staff weren’t pleasant. Behind the room there was a closed-off water area with thousands of mosquitoes.

Just a small, not very clean shower. I wouldn’t give it more than this.
