LaLune Beach Resort

The arrival was the worst part of our New Year stay. The sea was rough when we reached the pier, and my mother, who is 65 and has knee problems, had to get through the water with us. We were carrying her and three bags, including two large suitcases, while trying to locate the hotel ourselves. No one was there to welcome or guide us, and nobody helped with the luggage. We even asked for towels to dry off before going into the sea, but none were available. We had come for a relaxing holiday, but the rate was nearly 7,000 THB a night because of the holiday period, so our expectations were high. I’ve traveled to more than 50 countries, and this was one of the worst arrivals I’ve had. The service was unacceptable for that New Year price. Very frustrating. 😫

The beachside location is good and the rooms are nice, but the poor service dragged down our whole stay. Asking for anything turned into an Odyssey of going back and forth five times, and still not getting it sorted. It felt like nobody cared about the rooms being clean, whether things worked, or how guests were doing. The place seemed completely unmanaged, with every outcome left to chance. This could be a really nice hotel, but it’s the worst managed place I’ve stayed. I wouldn’t return or recommend it. I also wouldn’t consider the other two places this group runs on the same beach.

The room wasn’t clean, and the air conditioning was loud. Staff didn’t pay attention to customers. Some employees spoke rudely, especially when the cook kept making scrambled eggs. That made the experience even worse. I wasn’t impressed.

There’s a beautiful beach just outside the hotel, and the lobby has a full restaurant. But the room and toilet were dirty, with a bad smell in the bathroom, and there were cockroaches on the first floor. The cardholder also broke in the evening. The hotel itself is good apart from those issues.
