Vongdeuan Resort

Waking up to the beachfront view was breathtaking, and the resort was peaceful and relaxing. My room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and beautifully kept. The staff were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. My stay at Vongdean Resort exceeded all my expectations. I can't wait to visit again and would highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway.

The resort sits on the quieter side of the island, with lovely sunrise views, and I recommend kayaking at sunset. My stay for a few nights was wonderful. Check-in was quick and smooth, the room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. I could hear the ocean and woodland sounds, and woke up to the sunrise each morning. The breakfast buffet changed daily and mixed Thai and Western food, including a fruit platter. The on-site restaurant serves a variety of Thai dishes for lunch and dinner. There's also a pool and an on-site massage parlour. Book a massage early, as the time slots fill quickly. Staff were friendly and approachable. I'd happily stay again.

There's plenty of room to relax by the beach or pool, and the beach is kept clean and inviting for a swim. The rooms are nice, clean, and tidy. For me, it's still the best place on Koh Samed. The food is excellent, though it's become a bit pricey, as seems to be the case all over Thailand.

The restaurant has a solid selection, mostly Asian breakfast items along with bread, waffles, pancakes, and fresh cut fruit. It starts at 7:30, which felt a bit late for me. At other meals, there's a good mix of Asian and Western dishes. We really enjoyed our three-day, two-night stay at Vongdeuan Resort. Its best feature is the beachfront location, with direct access to a beautiful, clean white sand beach and no roads to cross.
