The little free station with coffee, tea, fruit, and orio says a lot about the friendly, thoughtful management. The rooms have a modern retro look, good air conditioning, and great hot showers. It's set back enough from the main road to be quiet, apart from about half a dozen neighbors' motor bikes. The bathroom sits in a lockable semi-outdoor section of the unit, so it feels a little less like an ensuite. The older retro beds do rattle a bit, though they're comfortable.

The shopping centre and a market with good food are close by, which was handy. The downsides were the busy road with no pedestrian path and the beach being a bit far away. I moved to a cheaper hotel next to the beach and found it much better. The staff here felt unwelcoming and lazy: they sat around all day, and I had to ask them to make up my room. Wouldn't recommend it, since there are better options.
