Baan Bophut Beach Hotel Samui

The location made it easy to enjoy Fisherman’s Village on foot, with shops, the market and places to eat all close by. We also really appreciated having the beach and pool there, even though this wasn’t our favourite stretch of beach on the island. The staff were generous with their recommendations, and they brought breakfast to us each morning because the restaurant hadn’t opened yet. The gym was still being built and looked great. We stayed at Baan Bophut just after the renovations with our husband and our nearly four month old baby. The villa was spotless, modern and furnished to a high standard, with everything we needed. The complimentary minibar and snacks were topped up regularly, which was a lovely touch. We’d happily have stayed longer, and would definitely return. It seems like a great option for a family, especially if you’d rather not drive or use public transport around the island.

We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked for next year. The staff were delightful, and the daily breakfast delivery at whatever time we chose was great service. The minibar was also replenished for free each day. Our room had a million dollar view, a comfortable sofa, a huge TV, a lovely bathroom and a really comfy bed. There’s a fantastic gym next door included with the stay. Nothing but five stars from me.

The ocean view was fantastic, and the grounds were peaceful and quiet while still being close to Fisherman’s Village. The pool is small, but just right for cooling off, and the sunbeds were great for relaxing. My room was spacious, with a good coffee and tea setup and nice included snacks. The personal pickup felt luxurious. I liked being able to choose my breakfast in advance, since that helps avoid food waste. Before my early pickup, the staff kindly found me some yoghurt and left fruit in my room. I also shared a few small, easy-to-improve suggestions about breakfast, TV options and not needing to wash towels every day.

We stayed for three weeks at Baan Bophut Beach Hotel in Feb/March 2026, and the place felt idyllic. It’s a small boutique hotel, calm and relaxed, but still only a short walk from the restaurants, shops and bars in Fisherman’s Village. The hotel is at the quieter, classier end of the village. There are some lovely restaurants at that end of the street that many people miss. Every room faces the sea, with views across a neat lawn to the beach. The breakfast area looks out the same way. The property sits on the nicest part of the beach, with comfortable loungers and umbrellas. A local fishing family moors their boats just outside, which gives the setting a lovely local feel. The rooms are modern and well equipped, and I’ve rarely slept in a more comfortable bed. The minibar, with water, soft drinks, beer and snacks, is refilled daily, as are the soft bath and beach towels. Bathroom amenities are good quality. Breakfast has to be ordered the day before, which seemed a little unusual at first. But the team makes exactly what you want, and you can have it in your room or in the breakfast area overlooking the pool and beach. Both are lovely ways to start the day. The small staff team are lovely and always willing to help. We had one minor issue during our stay, and they handled it so quickly and professionally that it turned into a positive experience.
