Baan Hin Sai Resort & Spa

The sea view at Baan Hin Sai Resort seemed to go on forever, and the setting made everything feel calm. We really enjoyed our stay and the whole experience. Koy helped arrange our rooms and made sure things went smoothly and comfortably. Numti and Koko were also so kind, and the staff in general were warm, understanding, and always willing to help. I'd happily recommend the resort for a peaceful, beautiful getaway in Koh Samui.

The service is what would bring me back to Baan Hin Sai. Don and his wife were especially lovely and always stopped for a chat, and the rest of the team were helpful with our questions and booking a day trip. When our room wasn't ready until 30 minutes after check-in, the receptionist apologized kindly and gave us free drink coupons for the White Nest Restaurant in resort. We left feeling relaxed and comfortable. We stayed for 5 nights during our holiday. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, though it could use an upgrade and refresh. There are two pools, a breakfast buffet, and occasional events around the resort, which felt worth the price to us. For someone who values good service and is travelling on a bit of a budget, I'd recommend Baan Hin Sai. Thank you!

The spa area looked stunning, but the therapist we encountered was the most unfriendly I've met so far. There was no greeting or smile, and that lack of hospitality put us off spending money there. At check-in, staff also seemed inattentive and didn't greet me until I said hi. The bellman took us to the room, gave no explanation, and just said I could see for myself. We came for a short honeymoon escape and loved the quiet location, nature, and beautiful views. Our pool villa had an ocean view, and the bed had honeymoon decorations, which was a nice touch. Still, for the highest villa category, I expected more effort with cleanliness. In room 408 there was a lot of visible mold behind the washbasin that hadn't been cleaned properly. The pool and sunbed were quite dirty too, and the AC smelled damp. Engineering should clean it. A small cake or sparkling wine with a welcome letter could have made the occasion more memorable and encouraged us to recommend the property for special occasions. Breakfast was okay, but there wasn't much variety for 300Thb. The island has many beautiful properties, and people come for the feeling of hospitality as well as the view. A stunning place still needs staff who know how to treat guests.

The pool by the sea view rooms was so serene, and being close to The Lad Koh View point was a real plus. We also appreciated how promptly the friendly, courteous staff handled our requests. Thanks especially to the night shift guy who helped us get transport to our rooms. From the sea front room to the restaurant, the view is fantastic, and the attention to detail around our needs made this one of the best properties in Samui, if not the best.
