We booked four nights after checking the TripAdvisor reviews, and now wish we’d booked our entire two weeks on Koh Samui here. It feels like staying in a private house, with five beautiful rooms, and Janya has been the most special host. She couldn’t do enough for us. I mentioned over a beer when we arrived that I enjoy cooking and love Thai food. The next morning I was awake early because of the time difference, while my other half slept. Janya invited me to the local market and explained all the fruits, herbs, and spices as we went around. She was preparing a surprise birthday party that night for another guest, and when we got back she let me help make the feast in the kitchen. Lynn sunbathed while I joined in. It was a tremendous success, and I loved the whole day. Janya put the same time and effort into making sure the other guests had a wonderful time too. The place itself is stunning. If you’re after jetskis and loud music, this probably isn’t for you, though they’re close enough if you want them. Come for a warm welcome, a beautiful setting, and hosting at its best. We move on tomorrow to a pre-booked 5 star hotel on a small island, and I don’t think it can beat this.

This place feels like paradise tucked into a coconut jungle. I’m enjoying my third night here as I write this and already dreading the day I have to leave. That one outlier review on Tripadvisor is plainly malicious and has no basis in reality. I’d know.
