Baan Sukreep Resort

The rooms are basic, but the price is fair and the owner and staff were warm and welcoming. They rent motorbikes and can help with various services and advice. Every few days they tidied the room, made the beds, took out trash, and changed towels. Their laundry service was much appreciated after we'd been traveling for so long. It was also easy to get a taxi there, and we left our car parked for several days without any problems. We skipped breakfast since it didn't start until 8am. Mekong, the attached restaurant, was very good and handy for dinner.

We stayed here as a family with our two daughters and loved the welcoming feel. The owners and staff introduced themselves, and the place was tranquil and inviting, like being at home. The restaurant next door, part of the resort, served hands down the best food we had in Thailand. The whole place has a great vibe, and the rooms stay nice and cool, which is a real bonus. This really made our stay. You could happily spend all day here. We'll be back!

For our first few days in Koh Samui, four friends shared two reasonably priced rooms. They had AC, warm showers, and everything we needed to be comfortable. The staff were especially helpful and friendly, even helping us set up some excursions. We only had breakfast once, but enjoyed the satisfying spread of coffee, juice, fruit, pastries, and cereal. We didn't try the restaurant next door, though we liked the atmosphere.

We loved this little jungle retreat. The rooms were really comfortable, the staff were amazing, and the food was delicious. The Vietnamese dishes were especially good. The drawbacks for me were the location, a bit off the beaten track, the disappointing western breakfast, and somewhat high prices for local Thai dishes. Even so, we absolutely loved our stay.
