Working in Samui, Nancy is originally from Belgium and speaks English, French, Dutch, and Thai fluently. She's a lovely person to deal with, always willing to help clients find what suits them. Her warmth and commitment really come through, and she goes the extra mile. I'd trust her if you want someone who truly cares.
I’m so happy living at Beachside Residence. The place feels peaceful and private, even though it’s right near the beach and close to what you need. The design is gorgeous, with luxurious finishes, and the amenities are first class. Every detail seems carefully done, and day-to-day life here feels like a getaway.
We struggled to find this place because none of the locals seemed to know where it was. Eventually we looked at the construction site and wondered, “No, that can’t be right... right?” It was, unfortunately, right. The apartments are inside a muddy, run-down building site. They apparently decided to rent out the finished building without telling people about all the construction around it. It’s literally in the middle of a construction site, as if the owners thought they could start renting before the rest was done.
Everything feels new and is very clean, and the grounds are lovely. The complex is near a pretty beach, with cafes, shops, and massage places nearby. I’d recommend it.
I paid 60,000 baht a month to stay here for three months, from January to March 2025. There was also a 60,000 baht deposit, weekly cleaning at my expense for 500 baht, and water and electricity billed at 2,300 baht a month. I came to regret it deeply. They said the one-bedroom apartment cost so much because it was on the third floor and supposedly had a sea view. In reality, the balcony faced another hotel, so you could barely see the sea. I attached a photo and video. The walls were thin, soundproofing poor, and the fittings and furniture cheap, which didn’t match the advertised rent and service costs. The worst problem at first was the smell from the bathroom toilets, like rotten water and feces. It was so bad I couldn’t sleep at night. I told the manager, but it took a month to fix. The residence owner offered no apology, compensation, discount, or even a compliment. There was construction noise every morning too, since the building sits in the middle of a huge construction site, and that made it hard to get the sleep I wanted. Getting in and out was difficult. The access road wasn’t properly paved, and I had to deal with sand, rocks, and construction debris. Walking was hard, my bike got a flat tire, and the dust and debris on the property dirtied and damaged my shoes every day. I complained. The manager said she had told the owner and that he would act, but nothing happened until my last day. At the end of February, a large landslide happened under the pedestrian walkway in front of the porch. It made entry and exit difficult, and made me worry the building was in a dangerous spot and could collapse if there were more slides. They fixed it within a week, while I had to pass through earth embankments and repair work. I had to leave 14 days before my lease ended, so I notified the manager ahead of time and asked about options. She said they would try to find another tenant for those days and reimburse me, or I could find someone to stay in the apartment for the remaining days I’d paid for. I knew they probably wouldn’t find anyone, so I offered my friend, who had flown to Thailand with me. The manager agreed and approved it. But at checkout, the owner met me for the first time and asked who was leaving and who would stay. When I explained, he got indignant and said nobody would be staying for the last 14 days. The manager and owner clearly weren’t communicating. The owner also charged me for the cheap plastic kitchen chairs fading in the sun and for mold on the laundry basket. It’s used for dirty, damp clothes, and Thailand is humid, so mold can happen naturally. I don’t think I was at fault. Photo attached. The owner had promised to reimburse the remaining 14 days after finding new clients who paid rent. Two months later, he still hadn’t returned the money, saying there were no clients. He acted like a real scammer. I don’t recommend this place at all.
