I didn’t stay at the accommodation, but I lived nearby and joined the community for Kirtan every Sunday evening. Afterward there’s a free light vegan dinner, Krishna Mantra Chanting, and sometimes a little dancing when the live music gets groovy. You can sit, stand, dance, or just be there, everyone is welcome. I’ll miss living near Sattva! They also run lovely yoga and sound healing classes by the beach on weekday mornings and evenings, except Wednesdays. The evening classes are especially wonderful, with the sunset over the water. It’s a beautiful, peaceful, welcoming place. I also really enjoyed the food, including the breakfast buffet after morning yoga. Such a great experience. Thank you for everything.

The rooms could use some renovation, but we still loved this stunning resort on the beach at Lipa Noi. They offer several treatments together with the neighboring resort. I’d especially recommend trying a panchakarma treatment.

The beach and setting are stunning, especially at sunset on the island’s west side. The resort is beautiful, with lovely plants, two great pools, and shuttle service and private tours to see places around the island. There’s plenty on offer for yoga, sports, and a healthy lifestyle. Definitely check out the yoga classes! The rooms could use a little care, though they have everything you need. Don’t expect luxurious interiors. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, since eggs and drinks like cappuccino cost extra. The restaurant itself was very good, with local and Western-style choices, and we went every day. We felt welcome throughout and had a very pleasant stay.

Sattva has a special community on the island, full of warm-hearted people with a shared higher mission and positive energy. They’re open and friendly, even to people who aren’t staying there, and offer health and spiritual treatments, workshops, events, and great food. I live on the island and am very into yoga, Indian spirituality, and vegan food, so I’ve always enjoyed coming here to spend joyful time with people who share those interests.

I’ve spent the past two summers vacationing at Satva Samui, and it’s become my happy place. As a woman traveling alone from Hawaii, I wanted somewhere I could feel safe and stay in without needing to go out, and this worked so well. There’s plenty here: great food, little local cafes, entertainment, outings where you can learn things, massages, yoga, and more. The people are wonderful, and I loved the Russian accent and vibe. If you’re heading to Thailand, I’d absolutely recommend staying here.
