Bill Resort

We had lovely sunrise views on the beach, and New Year's was mint. The location worked really well for us, especially with Black Pearl Restaurant becoming our regular spot. We stopped eating at the hotel restaurant because service there was very poor, slow, and understaffed. The room I was first given smelled putrid, but after I pushed a bit, I got another one. The rooms are basic, though the aircon, mini fridge, and smart TV were good. The host charges a lot for most things, and while amenities are close by, hiring a bike meant handing over my passport or 10000 baht. Most places only ask for a 3000 deposit, so that felt like far too much.

The staff made the stay for me, they were so friendly and looked after me really well. I can't think of another hotel quite like it. I'd book again in a heartbeat, five stars from me any day.

Beach access is good, and the hotel is in a very good spot. The rooms themselves are very basic and in poor condition, with no other services or amenities. Room service only comes every second day, and the stairs up to the room felt unsafe. This place really isn't up to standard.

You can walk to restaurants, shops, ATMs, and convenience stores from here, so the location was okay. But the room needs renovation, especially as this is an old resort. There was mold and other grime in the bathroom, and shower water would collect on the floor and sit there until it felt slimy underfoot. We stayed three nights and our room was never cleaned.
