Casa De Mar

We stayed in a villa and loved it, especially the lovely pool with direct access to the beach. Breakfast came with the stay and was fresh every day. Having barista-made coffee was a welcome change from the usual self-serve machine. The villa was beautiful. The gym is small and a bit dated, though that was only a minor drawback. Laundry was fairly priced and came back nicely done. There aren't phones in the rooms, so we used WhatsApp to get in touch, which worked fine. We'd definitely recommend the hotel to others.

The pool was a great temperature for swimming, and the hotel's oceanfront is nice for access, though the water stays very shallow for a long way out. That makes it safe for kids, but less suited to swimming. Beach chairs sit on a veranda by the pool. It's a small, lovely hotel in a quiet stretch of beach. The busy town is roughly 30 minutes away on foot, or five minutes by taxi or scooter. The food and drinks were high quality, and breakfast had plenty of choice and good coffee. All the staff were wonderful, and Jinny did an excellent job looking after the rooms each day.

Don't miss the grilled pork and sticky rice at the breakfast buffet, it was very good. The view is amazing, and the shallow beach lets you walk through the water for a long way. I'd also recommend catching the sunrise here. The room, pool, and restaurant all felt comfortably sized. I only wish the gym had better equipment. Otherwise, this is a nice place to stay in Samui.

The walk to the main area takes about 20 minutes, and it's not a particularly pleasant route if you want to go out on foot. Still, the stay itself was lovely. We were in a spacious villa, and it was clean with everything we needed. The staff, breakfast, pool, and private beach were all amazing. The pool and beach area had a charming, relaxing feel.
