Colorize Boutique Hotel

The pool was dirty, and the place looked nothing like the pictures. Insects were already along the room walls, and more came out of the trash bin when we threw something away. It’s far from the city center and the busy areas, and I didn’t feel safe walking there at night. People in the building were smoking marijuana all the time. There were cats in the lobby, and we couldn’t even walk through it. When we raised that with staff, they told us to go around instead of moving the cats. This was the worst experience ever. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it, choose another hotel.

We had a great stay of a little over a week. The price we paid felt like good value, and the staff were very helpful.

The owner did agree to move me, but the next room had the same sponge layer over the mattress, only less smelly. All the pillows were moldy, so I had to sleep on a blanket instead. It was beyond unhygienic, and I’m glad I had only booked one night. Check the room as soon as you arrive. I felt a smell as soon as I walked in and checked the mattress. Under the linens was a stinky brown sponge with no cover, smelling of old sweat that had never been changed. The pillows and AC were moldy too. This place is a sanitary danger to stay in. Don’t get lured in by the low price and nice booking pictures.

The location beside Lamai Buddhist Temple was convenient, and the price was affordable. I stayed at Colorize Boutique Hotel in Lamai, but had a few problems. At first I was put in a bungalow across from the hotel that seemed to be sublet. After three nights, a note under my door said it was no longer available and I had to move to the main hotel. I hadn’t asked for the change, but went along with it. There were rodents in the ceiling of the main hotel room. I asked to move and was put in a fan room, but could still hear them. The next day I moved to the top floor, where it was quieter for a few nights, then the noise came back. Pest control is needed. The rooms were okay but need a deep clean. Staff accommodated my room changes when I asked. It’s budget-friendly and well located, but the cleanliness and rodent problem need attention.
