Hacienda Fisherman's Village Koh Samui

Everything we needed, from restaurants and convenience stores to massage places, was within walking distance. We had a great room with an amazing view, and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The hotel made bike hire really easy, including drop-off and pickup. I can't fault the place and would highly recommend it.

We had a very comfortable village-view room and spent nine days at this friendly little hotel. The staff were all wonderful, and Fishermans Village is an easy walk away. The rooftop pool is great for relaxing. My one complaint is the balcony had no chairs. We were told they'd be provided, but they never appeared. It would have been nice to sit out there, and that's the only thing that keeps this from being five stars.

This was my third visit, and I've already booked for next year. As a full-time traveler, I highly recommend it. The location is lovely, in the quieter part of Fisherman’s Village, and my room is right on the water. Housekeeping shows up with a big smile every day, and reception is just as friendly. Everything is walkable, with lots of great restaurants and a couple of pubs. I like Frog & Gecko and The Jolly Fisherman. Hacienda has bike hire, though I recommend renting down the road because it's much cheaper. You do have to leave your passport or pay a large deposit there. I've left my passport and never had a problem. Breakfast can be brought to the room for a small extra charge, with three categories to choose from. There's also a rooftop pool with spectacular views, though I prefer the ocean.

The location really stood out: a beautiful beach on one side and Fisherman's Village's main drag on the other. The rooms were tidy, clean, well equipped, and laid out just right. We loved the rooftop pool and its views in every direction. Breakfast was a highlight too, with fresh local Thai food served on a spacious, inviting balcony overlooking the bright blue ocean.
