Holiday Inn Resort Samui Bophut Beach by IHG

This is a beautiful hotel with striking interior design, impeccable service, and very helpful, professional staff. Breakfast was high quality with a good selection, and the location works well for fisherman’s village, the beach, and the night market. We came as a couple and found the number of young children around us overwhelming. Nearly every guest seemed to be a family with small kids. That's on us for not researching better, but couples looking for a quiet base may not find this a good fit. If you have kids, it looks like an amazing place to take them. Bophut also isn't one of Thailand's best beaches if that's what you're after. We rented a scooter and visited other beaches, which worked for us, but with young kids that's harder, so be prepared to stay at the resort or take taxis. Impeccable hotel, but there were too many kids for a couple's break.

The hotel is in a lovely beachfront spot in Bophut, with easy sea access, a nice beach, a well-kept pool, and a kids club that makes it an excellent family choice. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast had a wide range of options, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Staff were generally warm, friendly, and helpful, which added to our stay. But when our child had a head injury that needed stitches, we hoped for a more attentive, proactive response. They managed the situation, though we would have appreciated more care and support at such a stressful time. We were very happy overall and would gladly choose the hotel again.

Our son absolutely lit up whenever Sam came by. The connection he built with our child went beyond polite conversation: he remembered the little things, made time to chat and joke, and encouraged him. As parents, that meant everything and made memories we'll keep for a long time. Sam, the F&B manager at Holiday Inn Resort Samui Bophut Beach, has such natural warmth. From our first day he made us feel like friends, not just guests, and his care never felt routine. He checked on us, made sure we had what we needed with help from his colleagues, and made every interaction personal, all with effortless professionalism. He is a huge reason we'll return. He defined our stay, and we left so grateful to have met him. It wouldn't have been the same without him. The cleaning, breakfast, pool bar, and reception teams were exceptional too, and so much had improved since our previous stay the year before. We especially appreciate Dolly, Mimi, and everyone who did their best to look after our family's needs. We can't thank the Holiday Inn enough for such a memorable stay and look forward to returning next year.

The kids were especially happy with the cooking classes at the kids club, and the food around the hotel was excellent, with plenty of variety. We also found everything easy to reach: Fisherman’s Village is right nearby, and the airport is close, which made getting in and out simple. From the moment we arrived, the modern, well-kept grounds felt relaxing and the welcome was warm. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Mr. Rum deserves a special mention for his humor, thoughtful service, and useful suggestions for things to do around Koh Samui. We had a fantastic family stay and would gladly come back.
