The tennis court was our main reason for coming, and we had a great time playing there with a local Thai coach we hired. The property is beautiful, clean, and well looked after. The crew at La Lagune were warm, hospitable, and helpful, and the meals were all better than restaurant standards. Those little touches made the holiday feel wonderfully homey.

The staff and chefs looked after us so well, they were absolutely amazing. The beach on the south side is a little grungy, but it’s not bad, so don’t let that put you off. We’d come back 100%.

We came to La Lagune Koh Samui mainly to play tennis and relax, and the stay went beyond what we expected. James, our main PIC, and her team were attentive throughout, bringing us water and cold towels during matches and checking that we were comfortable. The estate is beautiful, well maintained, and right by the sea. Jommy cooked the best Thai food I’ve had, with every breakfast, lunch, and dinner incredible and very reasonably priced. The team also arranged massages and took care of everything with such warm service. It felt like a home away from home. We can’t wait to return!

The views were beautiful, the food was amazing, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great week here. It’s a lovely place for a swim or beach day, or as a base for exploring the island.

What stood out most was the service. The staff were friendly and helpful, and seemed to anticipate what we needed without getting in the way. They made the vacation easy and relaxing. We visited in August. The pool and its view were great. We didn’t swim in the sea behind the property: it was calm but rocky, and the tide went a long way out. Water shoes would be useful if you plan to swim there. For beach days, we drove about 15 minutes to a lovely beach with softer sand and calmer water.
