Lucky Mother Bungalow Chaweng

Before my 11:00 checkout time today, staff knocked very hard on my door three times. It felt rude and disrespectful. Please remind them to respect checkout times and guests’ privacy.

I kept adding nights because I was enjoying my stay so much. There are several room options at different prices, including some with air con. The location is great, with a one minute walk through the bungalows to the beach clubs. Really good value for the money, and I’d recommend it if you want a decent room on a budget and a real Thai experience.

The bungalows were spacious and CLEAN, with really good prices. We’re backpackers on a budget and have stayed in plenty of horror hotels, so this was a great surprise. There’s a nice outdoor seating area at the front where you can relax, and the staff are excellent. Some speak very limited English, but they still made an effort to talk with us. If you’re thinking of booking, just do it. We wished we’d stayed another 5 nights.

The room was nice and comfortable, and so was the shower. It’s very close to the beach, right in central Chaweng next to the market. But our sheets weren’t clean after the room had been cleaned, and the staff weren’t very helpful. We extended our stay, but they wouldn’t lower the price even a little. It was pretty noisy too, with loud planes from the airport and bass and music from the street.
