This review is for the city wing, across the road from the hotel's beach building. The view from this side isn't very nice, though there isn't really anything the hotel can do about that. More of an issue was the noise. We heard the bikes and trucks, along with the constant background hum of the AC machines, and it was difficult to get proper sleep. Keep that in mind. There are plenty of positives. The building is beautiful and fits its setting well, the pool is huge, clean, and a perfect temperature, and the sea is only about a 10-second walk from the pool. The staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was generally good, with a variety of items and some changes each day, though a few things could be better quality. The daytime tourist information desk was helpful and had competitive prices. The location also works well for getting to the center of chewang. For the price, it was worth it. We travelled in June 2025.

The beach location is a strong point, roughly between Mercure and Centara Reserve Samui on Chaweng beach. The hotel is opposite the beach wing of Mercure, whose sea swimming and other facilities you can use. The music is the one thing I'd change. At the beach bar it gets really annoying when you're trying to unwind by the sea. I don't think most customers want that kind of music, though I wonder if anyone has asked them. A survey might help. People looking for that sound could go somewhere more central. I hope Mercure turns it down and maybe switches to something more relaxing.
