P168 Hostel

P168 Hostel has a nice atmosphere, a good location, and plenty of shared spaces for work or downtime. Still, housekeeping and organization could use some attention. The floors were sandy when we checked in. I told the staff we were heading out and asked them to clean while we were gone, but they were still dirty when we got back that evening, so I borrowed a broom and swept them myself. Another day, housekeeping was missed altogether, then they came to clean around 4 p.m., after we’d already returned from the beach. At checkout, we were charged for a water glass that was supposedly missing, even though the room had only one glass from the start, alongside two coffee cups. We hadn’t thought it needed reporting, and I’d only used the glass to clean my retainer. It was disappointing to be charged for something that hadn’t been provided. Guests are meant to leave their shoes at the entrance, but staff don’t enforce the rule. I saw three people go upstairs in their shoes, making the floors dirty and our feet even dirtier when we put our shoes back on. The hostel has good potential, and more consistent cleaning and clearer inventory checks would improve the stay.

I slept really well every night: the bed was comfortable, and the hostel was generally clean. It’s right by the beach, so getting there is easy. The staff were super friendly and helped me with everything. I booked an Angthong National Park tour through them, and it was great. They also have shared vans to the pier. I’d happily return and recommend the place.

The chill area was calm and pleasant, and even though the hostel is in Chaweng, it wasn’t loud for me. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable place near the beach. I had a really pleasant stay. The shared room still felt private because each bed had a lockable door, and there was plenty of room for bags. The bed was comfortable too. Before booking, I ate at the restaurant every day: good food choices, generous portions, right on the beach, and card payments accepted. The staff there were always nice and professional.

I liked being able to choose between quiet time and going out, with the beach and restaurants close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I met some nice people from all over the world in my room. I also had some time to myself. I really enjoyed my stay at P168 Hostel and will definitely come back 😊
