Samui Beach Apartments

I booked and paid a premium for a sea view room, but after check-in there was no sea view, just trees. I was on my honeymoon, and this made the experience really bad.

The location is the one good thing I can say about it. The place is old and run-down, and I wouldn't recommend staying here, especially in its current condition. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, as people in Thailand often are, which makes the state of the hotel even more of a shame.

The staff made our short stay worthwhile. Their service was excellent, and we're grateful for it. Since I was traveling with a friend who uses a wheelchair, I was relieved when they upgraded us to a room by the pool with easier access. The building looked old on arrival, though, and the room and grounds could use better upkeep. The towels need replacing, and the hotel would benefit from some freshening up to keep up with the many other places in Chaweng. The room was good, but there's room for improvement. Thank you to the staff.

The staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived, always ready to help. Even on a Saturday, they were happy to come and open our door when we needed someone. The rooms felt recently renovated and were comfortable, with hot water in the shower, though it wasn't very hot. We also couldn't make the room fully dark. Outside, the pool, entrance, beach access, and bar all seemed old and overdue for maintenance. The trees were rotting, and the whole area looked as if it hadn't been updated in at least ten years. The pool appeared clean, but we didn't feel like using it.
