Samui Diving Resort

The villa was in a great location, near fishing village and 7-11. We'd stop there for drinks to take back and put in the fridge. The pool was lovely for cooling off, and Hakan left us a map of the area with a few things marked, plus a big cooler bottle of drinking water. He was really friendly and helpful. The one small drawback is that only the bedrooms have air conditioning; elsewhere there's a ceiling fan. We also went diving with Hakan on a couple of days. He was patient and lovely with us as newly certified divers on our first dives afterward. We'd love to dive with him again.

Steve was a great dive master, keeping things safe while making the trip fun. Everything went smoothly, thanks to Hakan's planning and the successful dive with Steve. I was looking for a shop for a 2 tank dive, and this place delivered. Hakan replied right away and put together a package after we talked. A hotel pickup took us to the pier, where we had the standard but important safety briefing, then a scenic 1hr speed boat ride to Sail Rock. The team had all the gear ready when we arrived, including well-fitted wetsuits and fins.

I usually stay in hotels, so renting a villa long term at Koh Samui Diving Resort near Hakan was a first for me. I spent 2 months there and didn't find anything bad. The price and quality match 100%. The grounds were always well kept, with a pool and fast internet, and the villa was close to cafes, shops, the market, fisherman village, and other things you need. I recommend it and will return. Hakan, the owner, is a very positive person and always happy to help with any situation. Nana is a kind, positive Thai woman, and the cleaning was the most thorough. I spent 10 days at Samui Diving Resort and went diving every day but two. Hakan was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, exactly what I'd want in a dive guide or instructor. I'm very happy with the experience. If you're visiting Koh Samui and want to scuba dive, this is a great option.
