Samui Fishing Club & Resort

The lake has more than 200 fish and over 20 species. We caught two types, six huge fish in all, and were allowed to go down and gently touch each fish after catching it. It felt like an interactive fish park. I'm not a fisherman at all, but I really enjoyed coming here with my boyfriend. We were given a gazebo, and a Thai staff member helped us bait our rods since we didn't know how. He also showed us how to remove the fish from the hooks safely, without hurting them. There are darts, pool, billiards, and a café on the grounds. I definitely recommend a visit if you get the chance. A couple of things could have gone better. Check-in took around 15 minutes while staff looked for the right room key. In the morning no one told us breakfast was available, and by the time we came over it had ended. They made an exception and served us anyway, which we really appreciated. Thank you so much.

We fished one afternoon and the following morning, catching more than 20 carp and catfish species. Local guides prepared the rods and bait at each fishing hut or accommodation hut along the water. Fishing time ran from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Both the lodging and fishing were outstanding. I'd definitely return for the fishing if our future travels bring us back to Ko Samui.

We didn't fish ourselves, but watched people land lots of monster fish every day. The hotel was amazing, with great staff, clean rooms, and a nice breakfast. We also liked having the pool so close to our room. I'd suggest renting a scooter if you stay here.

The staff were the highlight, and the food was amazing too. We booked the cheapest rooms in the area through Trip.com and ended up discovering the monster fish they have here. What was meant to be a short island trip turned into a fishing trip, haha. Definitely coming back!
