Sunny Resort

I left after 2 months. The houses are comfortable to live in and the place is nice, but there were several drawbacks. The electricity cost was high even though I was usually away from the house and wasn’t using the air conditioner. There were also lots of mosquitoes, probably because the place is close to the water. I didn’t find the owner honest about returning the deposit.

I was worn out from all the run-around of traveling and just wanted to relax. This place gave me a serene, peaceful, refreshing break and felt like a hideaway home, while still being close to the grocery store, gyms, bars, restaurants, nightlife, and the beach. I loved the outdoor kitchen, and the host and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and property were kept clean and modern. It was a really great experience, and I hope to come back one day.

The water pressure was often low, so the hot shower didn’t work. Even when it sometimes did, there was no way to regulate the heat. During my 2 weeks there, they also burned dry leaves twice, for 3-4 hours each time. The owner said they burn leaves once every three weeks, but offered me no compensation, even though the smoke made it impossible to breathe in my room and I had to leave it. It seems burning leaves is common practice in the south of Thailand. I don’t recommend this place.

A peaceful spot away from all the craziness. The owner was really nice and helpful, and the rooms were super nice. There’s a nice private outdoor kitchen too. No complaints overall.
