The Cave Studio Samui

The apartment was generally nice, and the smell wasn't as bad as some reviews made it sound. It might be okay if you know what to expect, but the owners and staff didn't seem to care at all. We messaged about our arrival and got no reply. After arriving, we called several times before anyone came to hand over the key. They didn't say a word before leaving. We stayed three nights with just one roll of toilet paper, which I don't think is enough for two people. There was no cleaning or towel change, and our message about it went unanswered. When we left, we just left the key in the room. Parts of the room were really dusty and unclean, as if it had only had a quick general clean. I was very disappointed.

There's no reception on site, so you have to call and wait for someone to let you in. They told me it would take about an hour. The phone number on Booking didn't work, and I had to use the one listed here on Google. I can't imagine getting help if you needed something like more toilet paper. Outside, I found several piles of dog feces, and the whole place smelled like a petting zoo. The grounds look like they've been ignored for ages. I'm cancelling my booking. Avoid this place at any price.

The room was good and the owners speak good English, but the view wasn't the best. The entrance is a little hard to spot. Still, it's decent value for your money.

We'd made the reservation two weeks earlier, but when we arrived there was nobody to greet us. In the end, we had to find another hotel.
