The Natives Samui Villa

It feels like Samui from 30 years ago, with the comforts of air conditioning, toilet roll, WiFi, and Netflix. The traditional Thai villas sit right by the sea, and ours was spacious with high quality furnishings. There were a few minor things, like visible service areas around the grounds and some screws and bolts that needed tightening. Still, it was an exceptional home from home. If you want comfortable, roomy, private accommodation away from the busy areas, I'd highly recommend it.

The view and location were great for the price, and the breakfast was amazing, so I'd suggest adding it. I wanted a deck facing the ocean with the beach close by, so the beach villa suited me. Swimming takes a little care because there are rocks or possibly coral close to shore. Kids and adults can still swim, but you can't go very far out. For softer sand, walk about 50 meters left while facing the ocean. To the right, I found a casual "surf shack" style restaurant with four basic Thai dishes cooked by one person in one pan. There's a more formal sit-down place not too far to the left, though I didn't love it. Keep in mind it's remote, and taxis weren't easy to find. Almost perfect for a honeymoon or just relaxing and gazing out at the sea.

I ended up extending my stay after I arrived, and I loved it here. The villa was right beside a private beachfront, and everything was peaceful and quiet. The welcome and service were lovely and warm, and the place really matched its photos. There's a pool, a 24-hour small supermarket nearby, and a gym close by. It also works well for a run, and there are massage places and restaurants around. Taxis make it easy to get into town. A great choice for a family or a group of friends looking for a quiet, less discovered place to relax. Highly recommended, you won't regret coming.

The gardens and natural setting made everything feel relaxed, and the sunsets were stunning. Service was great, and there was a lovely bakery at this nice villa resort. The beach wasn't the easiest for swimming.
