The New Villa

For a budget stay, this is a great deal, especially if you’re travelling solo. I was here for a week and was very pleased. The rooms are big, the beds are soft, the bedding feels good quality, and they clean daily. It’s very soundproof, the AC is new and works great, and there’s hot water, reliable Wi-Fi, and a Smart TV with YouTube and Netflix. I had a balcony with seating, and there’s a pool with a bar and loungers. I didn’t see any bugs. It’s a five-minute walk to the beach. Go behind the Tops store to find the free beach access path, not through that house yard. Tops is two minutes away, and the restaurant beside it has a very good breakfast deal. You can get around downtown in about five minutes by scooter or baht bus, but you’re far enough from the clubs that you don’t hear them at night. The rate is about half what other budget options charge. The place is a bit older, and the rooms aren’t five-star or ultra-modern, but that’s a minor issue for the value. It’s not a luxury beach resort, but for the price you can’t go wrong.
