The pool was clean and quiet, and we liked having it almost to ourselves. The hotel also felt very family-friendly. Breakfast tasted good, though it was the same every day. The rooms were clean, but I’d suggest changing the towels daily. In the rain there was nowhere for them to dry, and by the end of day two they smelled bad. The owner and staff were warm, polite, and helpful. When we moved into our second-floor room, the air freshener smell was very strong, and I’m sensitive to smells. The owner kindly moved us to a first-floor room, which was much larger and looked better. During heavy rain, though, the bathroom got completely wet because the large window area is covered with fine mesh. There were lots of ants too, but they didn’t bother us. The hotel’s quiet location suited us well.

I came with my son and mom, and all of us had a great time. The pool was a lovely place to unwind, and the restaurant food and healthy breakfast were good. It’s not the best location, but Lamai Beach, the night market, Grandfather Rock and other nice spots are 10-20 minutes away on foot or by motorbike. We’ll be back!

It’s a 15-20 minute walk to the beach, which is the main downside. Still, we felt so welcome and well looked after that it was worth it. The owners are wonderful with guests, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the family and double rooms are a good size. I’d recommend it, especially for a trip with kids.

A calm, beautiful place with large rooms, lovely bathrooms, and everything feeling new and very clean. The pool is on the small side, but fine for relaxing. The villa belongs to a very nice Belgian couple. We were glad to stay here with our kids, close to Thai people, rather than meet English men with Thai girls.
