We first planned to stay one night, but ended up spending four. Several people told us they’d done the same and stayed longer too. It was the most welcoming hostel we’d found in Thailand, and others said it was the best on the island. The staff offer great help with things like ferry bookings and scooter rentals. The beds are a bit hard, though we’ve slept in worse. Great people and a relaxed time, thanks for having us ❤️

For Koh Tao, this was the cheapest hostel I found. I stayed nine nights and could see the work going into improving the new place. The rooms were clean, the staff nice, and it had a friendly family feel. The tattoo parlour next door is run by the same people, who were very helpful and welcoming too. Mongkoi, their pot-bellied pig, is a star and people keep stopping for photos. One downside: bar music carries into the dorms and stays loud until midnight. Maybe a soundproof door would help. 5*

It’s a nice walk from the pier, and Sairee beach takes about 15-20 minutes on foot. The rooms are good and the staff are really friendly. There’s a pet pig, too. Next door, their tattoo shop offers a way to get a free tattoo if you buy enough drinks in a day.

I stopped by a few times for drinks. Prices were good, the drinks were good, and the atmosphere was relaxed with friendly staff. I didn’t stay overnight, but plenty of guests seemed happy with their accommodation. The resident pig lounges outside, or heads indoors when it’s too hot, and has become a bit of a celebrity.

The air conditioning worked well, the staff were friendly, and the pet pig was funny. The live music was really good. There’s a handy tattoo place next door, and you can rent mopeds from the linked shop across the street. It’s easy to find from the port.
