Tanote beach is easily my favorite on the island, with plenty of other food choices on the beach and Buddha view dive Center right beside it. The family running the place are lovely, and they did a great job with my laundry. There are just 10 steps to the sand, with butterflies and little squirrels in the trees. The photos online don’t do it justice; it was even nicer in person. I stayed in both the cheaper fan bungalow and the pricier modern air con one after extending my stay. Both were good for the price, with quiet fans and air conditioning and comfortable beds. It’s great value for money. The main catch is getting around: you’ll need a bike since you can’t walk to other areas, and the road is steep and twisty, like many roads in Koh Tao. I wouldn’t recommend it for a first time bike renter, though we managed fine. If you don’t want to rent one, the beach has everything you need. Thank you!

Snorkelling here was a surprise in the best way: I saw so many fish, and the coral was alive and colourful. You can hire gear at the front. The beach gets packed during the day, for good reason, with lots of seats and a lovely stretch of sand. Our private room had a beautiful view of it. There’s a restaurant next door with really good food, and you can reach it by walking along the beach. Perfect place to stay and relax.

We were right by the beach, which was great for a swim or snorkel, and there are a couple of nice spots nearby for food and drinks. The room was spacious and clean, with great a/c. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and let us cut a night from our stay without any hassle. Really good value. I’d happily come back.

The beach setting is peaceful, and we found the mini bungalow just off the sand clean and really nice. We stayed two nights, and even without aircon it never felt too hot. Renting snorkels here was useful. We skipped the restaurant because it looked a little tired and run down, but there are several other places to eat along the beach.

The beach was beautiful for snorkelling and diving, though it got a little crowded from 14h-17h. In the morning and evening, it felt like paradise all to ourselves. The restaurant was good, with dishes around 120-180 bath. We spent eight days at the resort: three nights in a fan bungalow for 850bath, then five days in a large, clean air conditioning bungalow with three beds and a hot shower for 1500 bath. Thanks for the hospitality.
