I came back to Koh Tao recently and had a massage a couple of days ago that was just okay, which disappointed me a bit. I’ve liked this place on earlier visits and used to come often, with almost every session being great. Today, though, Ann gave me a back massage that I honestly think was one of the best of my life. She checked whether I wanted light, medium, or strong pressure, put supports under my legs, and was very polite. Her technique felt thoughtful and specific, and I could tell she was working on the areas that needed it most. I loved it and highly recommend Ann.

The beds are separated by curtains rather than walls, and the rooms feel a bit tight, but that didn’t bother me. I appreciated how professional the service was in a clean environment. When the masseuse switched from body massage to head massage, she washed her hands, which I noticed and liked. The massage center is across from the hotel, and the staff were friendly.

I wanted one last relaxing massage before leaving, but left very disappointed. There was loads of oil and almost no technique during the back and foot treatment. After I added a face massage, she pressed her elbow straight onto my spine twice, which was a big red flag. The face treatment was a mess too. Cream and mask got into my eyes and hair, and I had to stop and wash my face myself. I nearly cried instead of leaving relaxed and happy. I held the tears back so I wouldn’t make noise and ruin the atmosphere. The whole experience was terrible.

I’ve been to Thailand five times and usually get massages almost daily. This was by far the worst one I’ve had. I came a few days ago after seeing all the good Google reviews, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The masseuse seemed to have only a few months of training and didn’t seem to understand proper technique. At first she kept touching my legs instead of massaging them. I asked four or five times, and only after a colleague demonstrated did she use more pressure, which felt very uncomfortable. For about 80% of the hour she repeated the same elbow movement all over my body, pressing almost symbolically without real technique. She seemed extremely lazy during the session, and even threw the towel onto my face. Strongly not recommended.
