Koh Tao My Hostel

If you want to be in the middle of the nightlife, this hostel’s location is hard to beat. It’s right above Leo Bar, though, and the music can carry on until midnight. The bathroom smell was pretty unbearable at times. The rooms were otherwise not bad, and I enjoyed my stay.

The room was spacious and private, and you’re right on the beach with a 7-11 nearby. But this is basically a bar with a few rooms attached. The nightclub is unbelievably loud, like trying to sleep inside the club, and I couldn’t sleep before 2 a.m. The place wasn’t very clean, and the bathroom was both dirty and in poor condition.

Totally disgusting. I could feel the springs through the uncomfortable bed, and the shower was bad, with cold water and a very weak flow. I’d asked for a women-only room, but halfway through the stay the hostel owner added men to it. Totally bad.

The location is good, though there’s loud pub noise at night. If you don’t mind that, it’s a good choice.
