Sai Daeng Resort

Our room was just three steps from the beach, with the sea right outside. Being able to wander barefoot straight onto the sand felt like the island life we hoped for. The resort sits beautifully among the rocks and nature, and the snorkeling just in front was wonderful, with colorful fish and coral in clear water. The area still feels peaceful and fairly untouched. The daily program was another highlight: yoga, Muay Thai, and ice baths, all run with care and professionalism. The instructors, activity staff, and wider team were passionate and welcoming. From our arrival, everyone was kind, and the setting itself is beautiful and tranquil. The bathroom and shower could use some improvement, along with a few small room details. It's a small Thai island, not a luxury five-star resort on a large island, and that is part of its charm, but we'd still love to see a few upgrades. We expect to return. Everything else was wonderful. This was a magical, unforgettable stay combining the sea, nature, wellness, and authentic island life. Tongta, the front desk manager, deserves special thanks. Whenever we ran into an issue, she handled it with genuine care and professionalism, turning small snags into moments that made us appreciate the stay more. That level of hospitality matters. My wife and I spent four nights at Sai Daeng Resort in a luxurious Deluxe Sea View room. It struck a lovely balance of comfort, privacy, and natural beauty. The water was stunning at every hour, clear and full of color. Snorkeling, relaxing beside it, or looking out from our room, the ocean was always a highlight. There were plenty of amenities and activities, yet the resort never felt crowded or rushed. It's a peaceful, upscale choice for travelers wanting beautiful views and attentive service. For a quiet, relaxing, luxurious visit to Koh Tao, I'd recommend it.

The hillside layout means there are quite a few slopes and stairs between the room, beach, pool, restaurant, and reception. It wasn't an issue for us, but it's useful to know ahead of time. We stayed in the Deluxe Ocean View room, which was incredible. The ocean panorama was the most breathtaking view we've ever had, especially first thing in the morning. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. The hotel is beautifully designed, well maintained, and the service was outstanding from the moment we arrived. We'd absolutely come back, and highly recommend it for a stay in Koh Tao.

Just perfect. Snorkeling was excellent, with reef sharks and turtles around. Try going out in the rain if you want to spot pufferfish, and watch the trees for a squirrel eating upside down.
