The Tarna Align Resort

The people really made this stay for me. Everyone was welcoming, helpful and smiling, and you can tell they put care into the place. Tarna Resort is beautiful, clean and well looked after, with a peaceful feel and great service. I’d gladly recommend it to anyone visiting.

The hotel itself felt like a real luxury stay. The staff were all so kind and attentive, the rooms were stunning with amazing views, and breakfast was very good. They’ll drive you to your room or to the center, though it’s also a decent walk. There’s a 7/11 about 800mt down the street. The bathroom is transparent, which was a little strange but fine. Five stars for the hotel. My boyfriend and I spent four days here and took the PADI Open Water course. It costs a bit more than courses at other places on the island, but the attention and teaching quality made the price understandable. Jhonatan, the owner, is funny and friendly. We liked how he introduced the course and explained the choices. For that price, we did expect a few more things, such as a boat of their own rather than one borrowed from other schools, and more wetsuit options. There was only one short-sleeved wetsuit. We got sunburned on the first day, while other schools have more options, including long-sleeved suits. The best part for us was diving with Delia, our scuba dive master. She was more than perfect: talented, very professional and attentive to how we were feeling and whether we were comfortable. Diving needs to be taken seriously, and she taught us carefully while also looking after our emotions. It was incredible diving with her. She speaks perfect English and German, and she can understand and speak Italian well enough to make you feel comfortable. If you want to learn and discover diving, I highly recommend taking the course with her while staying at the hotel. If I do the Advanced course, I’ll definitely come back to do it with her.

The views are beautiful, the hotel is fairly clean, and breakfast was good and filling. But two things really affected my stay. First, there are lots of stairs around the property, and the approach is extremely steep, so bear that in mind with heavy bags or mobility issues. Second, mosquitoes in my room were awful. I was bitten so badly that I had a severe allergic reaction. I asked the staff for help and they offered spray, but I’m not sure they used it because I kept getting bitten all night. It’s a nice place for basic needs, but the mosquito problem overshadowed the stay and affected the rest of my trip.

The room was cozy, neat and nicely put together, and the views were amazing. We loved staying here, and the people were the friendliest and made us feel so welcome. Thanks to my Husband for finding such a pretty place 🥰
