PP Princess Pool Villa

Clean rooms and a great location, and the pool looked beautiful. But we had no hot water for showers, and the room’s electricity shuts off when you leave, so there’s no way to charge your phone while you’re out. You need to get to the pool before 8-9 am to reserve seats, otherwise you can’t really enjoy it. For the price, I think there are better hotels on the island.

Being right on the beach was the best thing about this hotel. The staff were really sweet, and breakfast by the water was nice, though there wasn’t much choice. But the beds were ROCK hard, and nearby nightlife could be heard through the walls until 3:30am. When you leave, you take the key that powers the room, so there’s no electricity. It was often hot when we got back, and we couldn’t charge any electronics while out. The hotel needs better upkeep. The bathrooms were rusty, and the stairs to our room were so narrow they felt dangerous. We ended up moving to Chaokoh and it was amazing. It’s worth checking other hotels too.

The baggage transfer to and from the pier made arrival and departure easy, and the staff were always welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was a favorite, with a good range of Thai and Western food and a stunning view. It’s convenient to move between the pool and beach, even though the beach isn’t private. The infinity pool was fantastic too. The rooms were comfortable but a bit dated, especially the bathrooms, which could use a refresh. The hotel gets busy, so we couldn’t always get a pool cabana. A small thing for management: better internal communication would help the stay run more smoothly. We felt it was good value and liked being near the beach and main area without the chaos. We’d recommend it to couples or friends visiting Phi Phi.

We stayed at P.P. Charlie Beach Resort recently and liked how easy it was to get around. Loh Dalum Beach is just steps away, and Tonsai Pier is about a 5-minute walk. Night markets and long-tail boat tours are right nearby. The beachfront infinity pool was the standout for me, with ocean views and a swim-up bar. It was a nice way to wind down after snorkeling. Breakfast is served by the sand, and the Thai and International buffet had an impressive range for a 3-star resort. Since the property is large and merged with its sister resort, even a budget-friendly room gets you access to facilities like the fitness center and multiple dining outlets.
