The River Scene Hotel

The river views are lovely, and the night market is only 100 meters away. It’s a middle-class hotel, though the rooms feel outdated. Breakfast is served at a nice place across the street. For the price, it’s not bad.

We left before the end of our planned 3-night stay because the room made us uncomfortable. It was much smaller than the photos suggested, and getting through the door was a struggle. The room had a Michael Jackson theme that wasn’t really our thing. Although the hotel’s name suggests river views, there was no balcony, just a very dirty fire escape covered in bird droppings outside the window. The river and night market are conveniently close.

We were only passing through for one night, and there isn’t much to do in Krabi town. The location has nice views, with parking right outside, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Road noise carried on until around 10pm. Breakfast was very basic, so I wouldn’t bother with it.

There’s no lift, which was the one drawback. Otherwise, the clean, comfortable room and excellent service worked well for our night in Krabi town. Breakfast across the road was fine, and the hotel is close to the ferries if you want to travel to the islands.
