The staff were friendly and helpful, and the receptionist even chased us on a moped when we left a hat behind. We were very grateful. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice shower and shampoo provided. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and snacks were free by the pool, and there’s a convenience store nearby with everything you need. It’s close to the pier and highly recommended. Just note there are no bars nearby, so the convenience store was the only place to get a beer to drink by the pool.

There was no boat to Koh Lipe after 1:30 PM, so we needed to stay overnight. The property is an easy walk from the pier, and the rooms are fine for a short stay. A very bad smell came from the side, not from the hotel, and we couldn't open the windows. It works as a place to stay briefly.

The rooms and hotel are clean, no doubt about that. The property packs a lot of rooms into a very small area, so you feel as if you’re sleeping in the same room as your neighbors. It’s even more noticeable when they’re a family. This may be the best hotel in the area, but it’s very noisy, and I’d recommend spending the night in another city instead. The sheets have been resewn, which is a good thing given human overconsumption, but it doesn’t feel appropriate for a hotel.

I had a one-night booking for November 2025 at BARA BARA Budget Satun, but severe flooding in southern Thailand made it impossible to reach the hotel, so I had to cancel. They agreed to refund me, but I still haven’t received the money despite trying repeatedly. Based on what happened, I wouldn’t recommend staying here or paying in advance.

The modern minimalist style is lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was super clean, with a great coffee-making setup right beside the pool. The staff were friendly and helpful too.
