Miami Seaview

The owner's kindness and the incredibly friendly staff made our holiday feel extra special. It's a beautiful resort, and we had an amazing stay. We'll definitely come back.

The best thing here is being close to the pier for the islands, with a 7 Eleven and Mosque just across the road. If you're waiting for a boat to Koh Lipe, it's one of the few places in town, and adequate for a night. There isn't much else to do nearby, especially with most restaurants closed. The beach has erosion and is filthy, covered in rubbish and broken glass, so swimming is not recommended and even walks aren't pleasant. The tsunami area is exciting, I suppose. The rooms are simple, clean and fairly new, with a fridge, TV and coffee maker. The bathroom was okay, and there are a few parking spots. Staff don't speak English. Family rooms are larger, while the cheaper rooms have no windows. There's construction next door. The pool is plastic but okay. For what you get, it feels quite expensive in low season. Breakfast wasn't special and costs extra, as it isn't included in the base rate. You get two bottles of water and two servings of instant coffee per night, with extras charged.

It's a pretty, clean-looking hotel near Pakbara pier, handy for a night before heading to Koh Lipe. Service was great, and there's a small shuttle or taxi to the pier. The hotel is on the beach and main road, with lots of restaurants around. The little pool has a great sea view. The water pressure was very slow, though, and the drain was blocked.

I loved hearing the waves from my room, and the sea view was so relaxing. The staff were helpful and friendly, and breakfast was nice. Everything felt clean and comfortable. The location was perfect too, near the beach, with a 7-11 within walking distance and lots of cafes and halal food nearby. I'd definitely come back if I visit pak bara again.
