Regent Lodge Lampang

The room was nicely decorated and the bed was super comfortable. Staff were helpful and even carried our bags upstairs. Breakfast came with the stay and was okay, though the boiled eggs were basically raw every day. It’s about a 20 minute walk to bars and restaurants, which worked well for us.

There’s no frills here, but the hotel was pretty clean and in a decent location. The room had a closet, slippers, one roll of toilet tissue, two bath towels, and dispensers for soap and shampoo. The on-demand shower heat was a bit uneven but worked well enough. One thing we hadn’t realized was that the larger plastic water bottles in the fridge cost 20 boat each. The glass water on the counter was marked complimentary, but there wasn’t an obvious note about the fridge bottles. It wasn’t much and was worth it, just caught us by surprise. Breakfast was included: two soups with add-ins, noodles with chicken, rice, boiled eggs, white toast, a basic salad, corn flakes, and orange juice. The doorman came to collect us in a golf cart from the parking area, even though it wasn’t far.

The bed was hard as plywood with a blanket over it, and there was no shower curtain, so the toilet seat got soaked after a shower. The bathroom tiles looked like they’d been painted over, including the grout and floor, despite reviews saying the hotel was newly renovated. There was no toilet paper, and the bedside lamp didn’t work. The technician never fixed it, even though all that was needed was a 20 THB splitter plug. That also meant there was nowhere to plug in a charger on that side of the bed. The extension cord running behind the pillows kept the maid from making the bed. The breakfast staff and parking attendant, though, were excellent.

The dining room looks great with the sunlight coming in, and breakfast was amazing. Our room was spacious and the toilet clean. The staff were lovely too, so we had a great stay.
