You can borrow the bikes if you don't feel like walking, though it's a lovely walk and town is only about 1 km away, if that. The guest home can also tell you what to do in Loei. This is the most outdoorsy province I've ever seen, and people I met in town were staying a month or more, so my three nights barely covered it. The place itself is clean and comfortable, with hot water and an amazing fridge, which I get excited about since I don't have one at home. I've paid more for a lot less. However long you plan to stay, double it. You won't be disappointed.

They even arranged a tuk-tuk for us very early in the morning, and let us leave some luggage behind during a two-day visit to the National Park. The hosts went way out of their way to make us feel at home, and after a week we felt really relaxed. Staying here was affordable and comfortable. Bike rental is included, Wi-Fi is free and works properly, and a scooter costs just 250 Baht a day.

The owners are adorable, and having the option to borrow a bike or rent a motorcycle is so convenient. Our room was quiet and clean, and they provide free coffee and tea. A really nice place to stay in Loei.

The tours they offer are the best part. They're a great price, and the guide knows the area well and speaks English very well. It was a great way to see places we wouldn't have found without local knowledge. Ask for Beem. The accommodation itself is a good, clean, cheap place to stay.
