Ing Chan Farm /ไร่อิงจันทร์

The food tasted pretty good, but finding unwashed vegetables in dishes that were supposed to have fresh ones was a dealbreaker for me. We were the only table during our early dinner, yet the staff were sitting at the cashier on their phones, so we had to call them over or walk up to place the order and ask for the bill. There were lots of staff around, but they didn't seem attentive. Cleanliness matters too much for the good taste to make up for it.

We spent the night here and had a light dinner. The aubergine with shrimp was excellent. In the morning, breakfast on the balcony of our roomy bungalow came with a peaceful view across the farm. We had a lovely stay, thank you.

The fried fish was nicely cooked and tasted good. The cappuccino, though, was just okay, pretty basic. We stopped here to take a break before heading to the tea plantation, and it works well as a photo stop. It’s around 45-60 minutes from Chiang Rai.

The food was a letdown, especially the soup, which tasted like spicy water even though we asked for it mild because one person in our group was foreign. Two dishes arrived within 3-4 minutes, but another was forgotten. We also had to pour our own drinks while four staff members were at the counter. When we called before 7 to ask about dinner, they said they were hoping to close because there were no guests. Since we were only ten minutes away, they agreed to serve us, but their disappointment at having us come in was obvious. We were the only customers, and the service was hit and miss. Left disappointed.
