You can get a feel for local life here, with the village temple, market, and mountains close by. There’s plenty of parking, and the garden is lovely. The family-run coffee shop serves homemade baked goods, and their little chef started cooking when he was four. The owner is kind and easygoing. You can even pick your own eggs for 5 baht each. They make guests feel very welcome and are happy to share what it’s like living with a local family.

Breakfast was so tasty that I forgot to take decent photos. It’s made to order, with fruit and boiled eggs they say come from their own farm. The rooms sit beside the mountains in converted shipping containers, and they’re quiet since they’re set back from the road. They’re on the small side, but the bathroom has strong water pressure, though the sink leaked. A nice choice if you want a peaceful break.

The price just isn’t worth it. My room was filthy, with a dirty floor and bathroom, and gecko droppings on the bed. The TV didn’t work and the wifi was bad. I didn’t take photos, but you can still try it if you want.

The door lock was broken, and there wasn’t a mosquito net. The room also had a musty smell, and its exhaust fan didn’t work.
