I spent two nights in November 2025 on a lower bunk in a 10-person room on the third floor. Alcohol isn’t allowed in the hostel, although some guests were drinking outside the entrance. The staff were friendly and helpful. There’s free coffee, a water dispenser, a kitchen without a stove, a large locker, and a safety deposit box. Towels are free, but you need to ask for one; they aren’t left at the beds. The shared area has one table for six, two low tables for two, and a sofa, but no power outlets. There’s no body soap, shampoo, or hair dryer. The air conditioning runs only from 18:00 to 06:00, and the entrance is locked at around 18:00. You get a card key, with a 200B key deposit. Shoes aren’t allowed. On the third floor there are three toilet and shower rooms and two sinks, with similar facilities on the fourth. At 22:00, WiFi measured 5.7Mbps in bed and 17Mbps in the common area.

We were six people, and the owner let us have a dorm room to ourselves. It’s a really nice place with good facilities, though the WiFi was a bit weak now and then.

The staff were so friendly, and the location is great: peaceful, but only a few minutes on foot from the lake and market, right by 7/11. There’s a lot of storage and space compared with other dorms, and everything is well organized. The bathroom and shower were very clean, with hot water most of the time. For the price, it’s really, really nice.

Right in the middle of the little town of Mae Hong Son, and one of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed in. Each bed has its own power plug and light, and the bed itself is great. In the common area they leave complimentary coffee, biscuits, and fruit for breakfast. The owner is a friendly woman. She speaks basic English, good Chinese, and Thai, and helped me arrange a tuktuk to the bus interchange. Keep in mind the hostel only opens for four months of the year, during peak season from November to February. Most visitors get around by renting a bike or car. Tours are possible too, but cost quite a bit more.

The morning market is just around the corner if you want breakfast. In the hostel itself, there’s free water, and in the morning you can help yourself to complimentary coffee, tea, and cookies. It’s clean and tidy, and seems quite new. Check-in was easy and the staff were friendly. The beds are capsule-style, each with a socket and reading light. There’s air conditioning, and the rooms are spacious enough to spread out your things or open a backpack.
